Adventures, the great outdoors, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) all year round excites me (winter is my favourite season!) Learning new things, solo travelling and sharing unique experiences with friends feeds my constantly curious soul. As someone born and raised in Toronto/Tkaronto, Ontario, Canada, there's no shortage of incredible outdoor experiences here. From paddling the 2nd deepest inland lake in the world to paddling through a 200 ft high canyon, endless kilometres of hiking and skiing, countless campsites for all four seasons along beaches and deep within remote forests...there are just so many ways to enjoy nature! When I'm not road-tripping or out dipping my toes in one of the Great Lakes, you can find me: - Planning public events, including environmental literacy programs as a librarian at one of the busiest library systems in the world; - Gear reviewing and creating adventure recaps as a reporter for Get Out There Magazine; - Helping people get out on a paddleboard as a certified SUP instructor; - Hanging out with the Lake Surfistas, an all-women crew and community that aspires to bring together women of all abilities to celebrate surfing, SUP and SUP surfing, whether it's 32°F OR 32°C out! - Giving big hugs to my German Shepherds, Rex, Zoe and Grizzly. I believe in being the change you want to see in the world. Connect with me on Instagram or Twitter @only1phoenixx if you think so too, and to see what I'm SUP to! ;-)Store website
