Group 1: 9am
Group 2: 9.15am

DURING THE TREK
There are three checkpoints and three campsites during Fjällräven Classic Denmark, and you need to get your Hiking Passport stamped at all six points.
In contrast to Fjällräven Classic Sweden, you may not pitch your tent just anywhere. Therefore, we have established three campsites that you must use. You are not allowed to skip one of the campsites or stay at a campsite for longer than one night. Below is an overview of your stays at each campsite:
Day 1: Camp Holstenshuus
Day 2: Camp Egebjerg
Day 3: Camp Bjørnemose Gods
During Fjällräven Classic Denmark, you are only allowed to walk between 8am and 7pm. We have chosen to set this time limit to respect the landowners along the route.
In addition, we start closing the checkpoints and campsites on the route at a specific time each day. Therefore, you must adhere to the following times:
Day 1:
Checkpoint Østrup closes at 3pm
Camp Holstenshuus closes at 7pm
Day 2:
Camp Holstenshuus closes at 09.30 am
Checkpoint Syltemae closes at 3pm
Camp Egebjerg closes at 7pm
Day 3:
Camp Egebjerg closes at 09.30 am
Checkpoint Svendborgsundbroen closes at 3pm
Camp Bjørnemose Gods closes at 7pm
Fjällräven Classic Denmark is an outdoor event, and you participate at your own risk.
Littering
We provide you with a Trash Bag, so you can collect your litter and take it with you. It is important that you use it. Under no circumstances are you allowed to discard litter. If you do that, you will be disqualified. We want to keep natural areas clean and orderly. You can empty your Trash Bag at all campsites and checkpoints. Here, we have sorting system in place for litter so we can recycle as much trash as possible.
Catering
In contrast to Fjällräven Classic Sweden, where you are provided with freeze-dried food for several days, we will provide you with food each day during Fjällräven Classic Denmark. Breakfast and dinner are freeze-dried food from Real Turmat. Lunch is Danish ryebread. It will be possible to choose vegetarian alternatives for both Real Turmat and coldcuts. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate various preferences and allergies. In addition, snacks, fruit and tea/coffee will be provided. Drinking water is available at all check points and campsites.
In addition, you will pass a couple of ice-cream shops and convenience stores during the trip. There will also be private individuals who sell cake, fruit and soft drinks from their gardens, so it may be a good idea to bring some cash.
Safety and medical care
Though we have volunteers along the route and at all checkpoints, you will still be by yourself most of the time. Do not take any unnecessary risks. Stop when you are tired, eat when you are hungry and drink water regularly. There will be water at each checkpoint and campsite.
All checkpoints and campsites are staffed by medics who are trained in first aid. In case of an emergency, call 112.
Abandoning the hike
You may withdraw from Fjällräven Classic Denmark at any time. However, unless you have been seriously hurt, it will be your own responsibility to get to the nearest transportation option. If you have been seriously hurt, Fjällräven volunteers can help you. In any case, you must always inform Fjällräven volunteers if you want to leave the trek, either at the nearest checkpoint or by messaging the phone number found in your Hiking Passport.

RULES
We want to make sure Fjällräven Classic Denmark is enjoyable for everyone and that the landscape looks great after the event. So, there are a few rules we need you to follow.
Camping
During Fjällräven Classic Denmark you must spend the night in a tent. In contrast to Sweden, it is not permitted to camp just anywhere.
Fjällräven Classic Denmark has three campsites – one for each day. You’ll find the first one at Holstenshuus, the next at Egebjerg, and the last at Bjørnemose Gods. But this is in no way a disadvantage. It provides a better opportunity to get to know the other participants, so it really feels like you’re part of one big family.
The various campsites are set up according to approval from the landowners and fire authorities. This means that you are only allowed to pitch your tent within the designated areas. The areas are devoid of trees so if you sleep in a tarp or bivouac, these need to be self-supporting.
Please note that the only campsite with shower facilities is Bjørnemose Gods (finish). All campsites and checkpoints have toilets.
Environmental considerations
We encourage all our participants to sort their rubbish in the rubbish bins provided, which are placed at both checkpoints and campsites. Rubbish is sorted into five different categories during Fjällräven Classic Denmark and anything that is recyclable will be recycled.
We always aim to leave nature in better shape than when we arrived. This is why we inform and encourage all our participants to pick up all rubbish – even rubbish that might not be theirs.
Limiting food waste is also one of our goals. Therefore, excess food from Fjällräven Classic Denmark will be passed on to the Food Bank which distributes the food to shelters and to places where there are other socially disadvantaged people (www.foedevarebanken.dk).
Locally produced food means less transportation and thus less CO2 emissions from ships, aircraft and trucks. Therefore, whenever possible, we buy from local vendors and preferably organic food.
AT THE FINISH LINE
When you cross the finish line at Bjørnemose Gods, tired but happy, you will find the finish area teeming with life. Among other things, you will be able to experience:
  • Live music
  • The possibility to buy food and drink
  • Participation in competitions and the chance to win some great prizes
  • Participation in workshops
  • A well-deserved, hot shower
  • The chance to visit our Care & Repair area
  • The opportunity to meet footwear specialists from Hanwag and Skaarup Foot Therapy
  • A closer look at the merchandise in our shop
  • One night free of charge at the finish area, Camp Bjørnemose Gods
So, remember to celebrate your great achievement with your new Fjällräven Classic friends at the finish area. And if you’re not quite done with Fjällräven Classic Denmark, you can spend your last night at Camp Bjørnemose Gods.
Please note that if you’re using public transportation, Fjällräven Classic buses are only available the day after you cross the finish line. Departure is at 8.30 towards Svendborg Station. Svendborg Station is just 5km from Bjørnemose Gods. If you want to go to Svendborg Station at some other time, we recommend using bus number 241 or a taxi.
VOLUNTEERS
In Denmark, there are about 50 volunteers helping our participants with their trek and making sure they have the best Fjällräven Classic experience possible. Our team of volunteers consists of a good distribution of genders, ages and geography. To be a volunteer, you must be at least 21 years old.
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer with Fjällräven Classic Denmark, you can send an email to catrine.graadal@fenixoutdoor.dk. The email should contain a short description of yourself, as well as the reason why you want to be a volunteer. Every year, we start looking for volunteers as early as August. Therefore, you should send your application as soon as possible from that month if you’re interested.
It is important that all our volunteers speak and understand Danish as all information to our volunteers is in Danish.
