PREPARE
It is important that you are prepared for no fixed hiking trails and hiking over 1000 meters of altitude in one day with a heavy backpack.
PACKING LIST
Here is our full Fjällräven Classic Germany packing list:
Equipment you should consider bringing:
- Backpack with a rain protection cover (recommended size range: 50-75L)
- Two-season sleeping bag
- Tent
- Sleeping mat
- Stove with a deep pan – good for boiling water for the freeze-dried meals
- First aid kit including dressings, plasters, tape, painkillers and disinfectant
- Thermal base layers for top and bottom
- Matches and lighter
- Rain/shell jacket
- Rain/shell trousers
- A warm fleece/mid layer in down or a synthetic material
- Dishcloth
- Small towel
- Small knife with scissors or a multi-tool
- Water bottle, 1L
- Toiletries
- Toilet paper
- Head torch
- Sunglasses
- Trekking socks, preferably in wool
- A change of shoes or flip flops/sandals to give your feet a break
- Underwear in wool or in a synthetic material
- Hat/beanie
- Sun hat/cap
- Trekking trousers, a pair that can be zipped-off to be transformed into shorts are ideal
- T-shirt
- Trekking boots
- Trekking poles
- Swimwear
- Sunscreen
- Map case (in case of rain)

Health & Safety
- Participants are responsible for their own safety and insurance coverage.
- Procedures for handling medical emergencies and accessing help at staffed checkpoints.
Rules
- Focus on safe, eco-friendly trekking practices.
- Please only camp in predefined campgrounds.
- Leave not trash behind (use trashbags).
