DURING THE TREK
Trekking Passport
Always keep the Trekking Passport with you and don’t forget to read through the Quick Guide to Fjällräven Classic Korea. You must get it stamped at each checkpoint.
The route
Use the trekking map provided and always check for yellow ribbons marking Hallasan Trail during the hike. If the trail is not clearly marked or the route is off the course of Hallasan Trail, check for Fjällräven Classic signposts with red arrows.
Checkpoints
There are in total of 7 checkpoints including the start and finish. The checkpoints are always stationed with staff to help out if there are any problems or in case of injury. You must have your Trekking Passport stamped at all checkpoints.
Food and gas
Cooking is prohibited throughout the entire route of the Fjällräven Classic Korea, excluding the campsite. All meals and gas for the 3 days will be provided by Fjällräven.
Cold food will be provided for breakfast, and no cooking will be necessary.
Freeze-dried bibimbap will be provided for lunch, and you must prepare boiling water at the campsite before departure.
For dinner, pork will be provided at the campsite. Therefore, a frying pan or a shallow pot will be handy.
Gas will be provided at the campsite, and if you need more gas, you can exchange the empty one for a new one.
Camping
You must sleep in your tent at campsites during the hike. The campsites will be exclusively used by participants of Fjällräven Classic Korea.
Drinking water
Drinking water will be provided at some checkpoints and campsites. Fill up your bottle before departure and if you think you will need more water, bring an extra bottle.
  • Day 1: Drinking water available at the Noru spring water
  • Day 2: Drinking water available at the checkpoint
  • Day 3: Drinking water available at the checkpoint
Safety and medical care
Around 80% of the course of Fjällräven Classic Korea will have reception. If you are lightly injured or in need of help, you should move to the nearest checkpoint for medical care. There are volunteers or sweepers at the tail end of the trek who you can also ask for help. If it’s an emergency situation, such as cardiac arrest or a bone fracture, you must immediately call 119 or Hallasan Trail Rescue Center for help. In case there is no reception, ask fellow trekkers to help you move to the closest location that has reception.
Abandoning the trek
You can abandon Fjällräven Classic Korea at anytime, but it’s your responsibility to make your way to the nearest checkpoint or transport hub. If you decide to abandon the trek, we will arrange a transportation to the campsite and in this case you won’t be able to receive the medal. If you are willing to stay in an accommodation instead of staying at a campsite, you must arrange your own reservation and transportation.
Toilets
There are not many toilets on the trail except at the start and finish. We recommend you to go to the toilet before leaving. If you need to use the toilet in the middle of the hike, please find a place far from streams and bring back used toilet papers in your trash bag.

AT THE FINISH LINE
After you are finished with the hike, you can check-in to the accommodation from 15:00. If you arrive before 15:00, you can enjoy and celebrate with fellow trekkers at a separate resting area. There is a snack bar where you can buy drinks and beer if you need.
Fjällräven Classic medal
If you finish hiking all courses of Fjällräven Classic Korea and have your Trekking Passport stamped at all checkpoints, you will receive a medal and a badge as a souvenir.
