  • Child: 550 SEK / €48 (born 2020–2025)
What’s Included in the Ticket Price?
Fjällräven Classic is about making it easier for you to enjoy nature. That’s why we take care of much of the logistics.
  • Bus transport from Kiruna Airport and Kiruna train station to the Fjällräven Classic Sweden base camp at Högalidsskolan in Kiruna.
  • Bus transport from the base camp at Högalidsskolan to the start of Fjällräven Classic Sweden in Nikkaluokta.
  • Luggage transport of one bag (maximum 60 liters/20 kg) from Kiruna or Nikkaluokta to Abisko. Larger or heavier baggage will incur an extra charge. At check-in, you will receive a name and start number tag to attach to your bag. You can pick up your bag in Abisko at any time, day or night.
  • A map (scale 1:75,000) with a protective cover.
  • One roll of toilet paper. Please note that there is no toilet paper available at the toilets along the trail—this is the only roll you will receive. We aim to minimize helicopter transport for supplies.
  • A trekking passport, which must be stamped at all checkpoints by Fjällräven volunteers, including at the start and finish.
  • Fuel (gas, petrol, or alcohol) for your camping stove, provided at check-in.
    • Important: If you use petrol or alcohol, you must bring your own container to refill. Gas canisters are provided by Primus and have a standard threaded connection compatible with most stoves. Gas refills are available at Sälka and Alesjaure checkpoints (opening hours will be announced later).
  • Freeze-dried food and bread for the hike. These will be distributed at check-in, and additional vegetarian freeze-dried meals will be available at Sälka and Alesjaure checkpoints. Bread is only provided at check-in.
  • An orange safety cover for your backpack. This helps us identify you as a Fjällräven Classic participant and makes you more visible in an emergency. The safety cover is distributed at the start in Nikkaluokta.
  • A Fjällräven Classic trashbag, so you can carry out all your trash. You are responsible for taking all waste with you—it must not be left along the trail, at checkpoints, in shelters, or at huts.
  • A Fjällräven Classic Sweden medal when you reach the finish line after 110 km.

Travel and Transportation
Fjällräven Classic Sweden starts in Nikkaluokta, but to get there, you first need to travel to Kiruna, where event check-in takes place at Högalidsskolan.
1. Planning Your Trip to Kiruna
You can choose how to travel to Kiruna, but we encourage sustainable transport options such as trains or carpooling. It is essential to plan your trip in advance, and we strongly recommend arriving at least one day early to give yourself enough time to prepare before the bus leaves for the starting point.
Transport Options to Kiruna:
  • Train & Bus: Tickets can be booked via SJ.
  • Flights: You can book flights to Kiruna via SAS or Norwegian Airlines.
  • Car: If you are driving, you can either go directly to Nikkaluokta for check-in or park in Kiruna (see details below).
2. Arriving in Kiruna
Once you arrive in Kiruna, we take care of the logistics. Whether you arrive by train or plane, our staff will meet you and transport you by bus to the check-in location at Högalidsskolan.
If you are traveling by car, you have two options:
  1. Drive directly to Nikkaluokta, where you can check in and start your hike immediately.
  2. Park in Kiruna, which we highly recommend. This way, you don’t need to return to Nikkaluokta by bus after completing the hike to retrieve your car.
For more information on parking options in Kiruna, visit:
Kiruna Municipality – Parking
3. Transport from Kiruna to Nikkaluokta (Starting Point)
On the starting day, buses will take you from Högalidsskolan in Kiruna to Nikkaluokta.
Important:
  • You can only take a bus that departs within the time slot specified on your ticket.
  • The bus ride is included in your Fjällräven Classic Sweden ticket.
4. After the Hike – Transport from Abisko to Kiruna
After completing the hike in Abisko, there are several transport options back to Kiruna or onward to your next destination.
Transfer from Abisko to Kiruna
We provide transport from Abisko STF and Abisko Mountain Lodge to Kiruna city center and Kiruna Airport.
  • Availability: Buses align with flight departures between Monday, August 11, and Friday, August 15.
  • Price: 250 SEK (not included in your event ticket).
  • Ticket Purchase: Available at Abisko Mountain Lodge at the finish line. Tickets are limited, so purchase as soon as you complete the hike.
  • Travel Time:
    • Abisko → Kiruna city center: ~1 hour 30 minutes
    • Abisko → Kiruna Airport: ~1 hour 45 minutes
5. Alternative Transport Options from Abisko
If you do not take our transfer, you can continue your journey by train or regional bus.
  • Regional Buses: Check schedules at LTNBD.se
  • Train Services: Check schedules and book tickets at SJ.se
Popular Train Routes:
  • Abisko → Kiruna → Stockholm: A direct route for those traveling south.
  • Abisko → Narvik (Norway): A great option if you want to extend your adventure northward.

Timetables for Fjällräven Classic buses between Abisko and Kiruna city center/Kiruna Airport will be updated and published soon.
