For Albin, spending six days in the freezing Arctic dogsledding and camping in the snow is a dream come true. He has always been attracted to exploring extreme environments. From travelling to the desert to building up his tolerance for ice baths in his hometown of Knivsta, Sweden. Located close to big cities like Stockholm and Uppsala, Knivsta’s plentiful nature transforms greatly from summer to winter, giving Albin and his friends the space they need to make fun-filled memories for life. Fun is the number one motivator for Albin to spend time in nature. In fact, trying to make everyone laugh and have a good time is his strongest personal trait. Basically, he tries to live up to the Swedish saying, “delad glädje är dubbel glädje,” or “Shared happiness is double happiness”. By spending eight years working with children at the local elementary school and posting his adventures to social media, he is spreading the word about how fun our beautiful planet can be.
