Ben Morgan
Polar Participant
Ben’s love of nature started three years ago when he spoke to his boss about creating a forest school on the land behind the primary school where he works. Today, he teaches kids of varying ages elements of bushcraft and camp craft twice a week, and explores a now thriving ecosystem full of frogs, dragonflies, ladybirds, and everything in between. It’s a place where the children of Derby can learn about and connect with nature. But it’s also a place where they can learn to love what they have and hopefully, grow to look after it and protect it. He hopes the kids will keep coming back and that eventually their kids will come to forest school too. Outside of work, Ben weight lifts, hikes, and enjoys bringing nature closer to his three young children.
