Christopher is an “adventure hydrologist”. In other words, a water scientist with a passion for outdoor adventure, like trekking, rafting, climbing and generally exploring the outdoors. He has also made saving the planet his mission in life. In fact, he thinks it “sucks” that most people don’t do the same. Growing and preserving his own food, picking up other people’s trash, adopting and building trails, rescuing dogs, petitioning for change, and podcasting about climate change are just some of the activities he does to protect nature. Christopher wants to make his ordinary life as close to nature as possible and in doing so inspire others to do the same. Taking part in Fjällräven Polar is his way of showing people that though the Arctic may look like a frozen wasteland, it is a spectacular place that deserves our attention and care. Because it is changing quicker than any other place on earth.
